The Glory Stompers: Live at Brooklyn Bowl, 4/1/2011

The Glory Stompers are a five-piece band from Los Angeles; their thrilling brand of rock and roll melds heavy-metal riffing and dynamics with hardcore punk attitude and a stage presence that takes no prisoners.  At Brooklyn Bowl last Saturday night, the group’s brief set held the audience in thrall: stomping twin guitars, thundering bass and drums, and a virtual tornado of energy in the guise of a lead singer.  The songs were catchy, complex, and raucous; the excitement was contagious…  For anyone who appreciates all-out noisy rock and roll, this is a band to watch.
