NYCC2015

On Thursday, October 8th, from 11am-12pm, Depth Of Field Magazine is proud to present Hip-Hop And Comics: Cultures Combining, a panel discussion at New York Comic-Con. This program looks at how comic books and Hip-Hop have grown from modest origins to achieve global impact, and how they have inspired and influenced each other in the process – not just within rap music and comic books, but also through skate/street fashion, graffiti, animation, breakdancing, kung fu films, and other related expressive forms.

Patrick A. Reed (editor of Depth Of Field Magazine) will moderate, and panelists include:

Chali 2na (celebrated MC from Jurassic 5; photographer and visual artist)

Eric Orr (creator of Rappin’ Max Robot, the first-ever Hip-Hop comic book, graffiti and fine artist, graphic designer)

Adam Wallenta (co-creator of the Public Enemy comic book, MC, songwriter, illustrator)

Ronald Wimberly (designer, illustrator, writer)

Likwuid Stylez (MC, songwriter, producer)
