FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Depth Of Field Magazine proudly presents the “Hip-Hop And Comics: Cultures Combining” panel at C2E2, April 25th at 7:15pm
This hour-long program brings together creators and commentators to discuss the common bonds and shared inspirations between two uniquely American cultures

On Saturday, April 25, at 7:15pm, Depth Of Field Magazine is proud to present Hip-Hop And Comics: Cultures Combining, a panel discussion at C2E2, Chicago’s premier pop culture expo.  This program looks at how comic books and Hip-Hop have grown from modest origins to achieve global impact, and how they have inspired and influenced each other in the process – not just within rap music and comic books, but also through skate/street fashion, graffiti, animation, breakdancing, kung fu films, and other related expressive forms.

Patrick Reed (editor of Depth Of Field Magazine) will moderate the conversation, and panelists include Mega Ran (MC, producer),  Matthew Rosenberg (author/co-creator of Ghostface Killah’s 12 Reasons To Die and 36 Seasons), Tyrue “Slang” Jones (“The Father Of Chicago Graffiti”, visual artist, animator), Ytasha Womack (author, filmmaker, creator of Rayla 2212), Thunderbolt Jones (MC, musician), and additional special guests.

The panel runs one hour, and will be held in room S404cd of McCormick Place’s South Building.  For the latest information on the Hip-Hop And Comics panel, please check www.depthoffieldmagazine.com or @depthzine on Twitter.
